Still Playing the Piano at Age 70!
For the last few years, I have been playing the piano almost daily, slowly gaining back skills and ability. Here are some of the pieces I have played. It a continuous challenge; some days I nail it, other days not so much, but then I play again the next day. I like to challenge myself every day. Keeps me young at heart, may keep the dreaded Alzheimer’s at bay! With any luck, I can update this list yearly and rock on the piano until I am at least 85!!!!!
Incidentally, I hear that William Shatner, the actor, Captain Kirk, has joined a heavy metal band playing the guitar at age 95! And is still rocking! Good for him and provides hope to us other younger seniors! That we can do it too, maybe not heavy metal though….the next day again

Haydn and Clementi are excellent bridges between Mozart and Beethoven. Clementi in particular is often underappreciated—he was arguably the greatest piano technician-composer before Chopin and Liszt.
