270,000 Corona ghosts
Crash the President’s party
Staring at the party goers
Party over
Corona Ghosts Crash the State Department’s Party
Was not amused when he heard
That the Department of State
Was having a big party
He called upon his 2750,000 members
To crash the diplomatic party
The ghosts all descended
on the party
The party goers sensed
There was something wrong
Then the ghosts became appearing
Slowly their forms took shape
The ghosts looked at the party goers
And the party ended
The guests fled
With the corona ghosts
Fading into the evening wind
Partying while People Die
275,000 people dead
2,000 per day
14 million cases
The silence
From our dear leader
And congressional leaders
Says it all
the WH hosts
Christmas parties
As if the pandemic
Did not exist
The corona ghosts
Were not invited
But they haunt
Our parties
And our memories
If only our president
Realized
That this is not the time
For parties as usual
Not the time for mass rallies
It is time to mask up
Take charge
The virus will end
As the vaccine spreads
The pandemic will run
Its course
But how many people die
between now and then
It is up to us of us
the End
